Weekend Motivation

Just can't get enough photos of Before & After projects.  Not only are they motivating, it's encouraging to see others take upcycling to heart.

Before - sad and neglected desk

If you don't own a 1970's desk, you probably know someone who does.  This unique re-do involved dismantling the desk and stacking the two columns of drawers into one tower.

After - Chic Lingerie Chest

Don't forget about the center drawer - it has a new purpose, too . . . . .

. . . . . it's a darling info center for the mud room or kitchen!
You can view the step-by-step instructions on this charming
Before & After at My Repurposed Life.

Recently I saw 2 shelving units at the Salvation Army
Thrift Store that looked just like these:

(Sorry the photo is mismarked 'After' - it's really a Before!)

After - Classy shelving for just a few dollar$:

We've all seen (or owned!) chests of drawers like this one:

This darling chest doesn't have to be used just in a bedroom.
What charming storage space for a den:

When considering completing an attic or basement expansion
homeowners often dread working on the staircase.

Amazing transformation, especially with the beadboard:

The foyer/hallway/dining room renovation below is so inspiring:

It's simply incredible the mood change createdby paint and a little wallpaper:

The beautiful floors were lost in the haze of the peach fog.
Now they pop in contrast to the grey walls.  And, what
about that (Color of the Year!) tangerine under the
chair rail?  I.  LOVE.  IT.  Period.
Rasha (pronounced Russia), of My Champagne Taste
is a contemporary Californian by way of Lebanon.
She brings her sophisticated international taste to
this simple upholstery project:

The following tub 'mulligan' (a do-over in golf lingo!) is almost unbelievable:

Amazing, right?!  Glazing and stencilling transformed this
antique clawfoot tub into a classic example restoration.

Well, Weekend Make-Over Warriors, with this posting
of massive inspiration, go forth and renovate!
